Kanto also got certified for the ISO/IEC 17025, a certificate for testing site capabilities for providing stable quality control systems.

Kanto Chemical has been conscious and caring for environment and safety as a leading chemical product manufacturer. We believe that we have an important responsibility to ensure safety and health of people and it should be the core management philosophy.

In 1998, we acquired an environmental management system certification for ISO 14001 at all factory locations as the first reagent manufacture in Japan.

We regard environmental protection activities as a core of overall production cycle. Under the philosophy, we have been steadily working for energy conservation, energy saving, reduction of disposals, wastes.

In addition, we have made steady efforts in compliance with the PRTR Law which is a law concerning discharges of specified chemical substance in the environment and management improvement. With our own voluntary management criteria, we have always been proactive in examining potentials of dangers and toxicity of our own chemical products by forming internal committee. We look at all manufacturing processes from design, development, production, distribution and sales up to on-site usage and disposal through the product lifecycle so that all process are managed with safety features in place.
