Cica Geneus® Staph POT KIT

“Passive epidemiological surveillance” is very important to prevent the nosocomial spread of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus ( MRSA ). For that practical genotyping, PCR-based ORF typing (POT) method is useful.
The PCR-based ORF typing(POT) is a molecular epidemiological method to amplify plural specific genes by multiplex PCR at the same time, for not only investigations of outbreaks but also for non-outbreak epidemiological surveillance.
Characteristics
- This POT method developed by Dr. Suzuki of Fujita health University, it’s a molecular epidemiological method which can identify and distinguish isolates with strain-level.
- This POT method can compare the homogeny between strains by digitizing (replace to POT types) an electrocataphoresis result.
- Nearly the same discriminability as the pulsed field gel electrophoresis( PFGE).
- Required for the examination time is approximately 4 hours.
